CoolSculpting has been one of the fat reduction treatment offerings at INLIV since the establishment of the medical aesthetics department in 2013. And the treatment is proving to be popular with both men and women. The most common areas targeted are the abdomen, love handles, ‘muffin tops’ and the inner thigh. Another area clients are interested in treating is back fat (women often refer to it as bra fat), and men are requesting the treatment to lose their ‘man boobs.’
INLIV’s CoolSculpting program utilizes a wide range of different hand-pieces, each designed to treat specific areas of the body. “There isn’t a ‘one size fits all’ hand-piece,” advises Nadia Zinchuk, our registered nurse who administers the treatments. “To safely and effectively treat different areas, it’s imperative to have the appropriate hand-piece as well as the knowledge and experience to properly deliver the treatment. Inaccurate evaluation and using the wrong hand-piece can result in unnatural-looking or less than optimal results.
- CoolMax hand-piece is used primarily for the abdominal region for debulking or treating those with more fat rolls
- CoolCore is best for smaller abdominal bulges and several other areas
- CoolCurve is for areas with more curve, such as love handles and man breasts
- CoolFit is for vertically positioned fat pockets, such as inner thighs, upper arms and abdomen
- CoolSmooth can be used where there’s no ‘pinchable’ fat, such as the outer thigh and saddlebags
Freeze your fat – is that effective?
“CoolSculpting is highly effective, yet it’s important to advise guests that it’s not a weight loss treatment. Candidates should be within about 10 pounds (4.5 kg) of their ideal weight,” notes Nadia. “And results aren’t immediate but become noticeable gradually over the next two months,” she adds.

As a comprehensive health and wellness centre, safety is always top of mind at INLIV. To ensure the highest safety standards and medical support for all CoolSculpting guests, the treatments are administered solely by Nadia Zinchuk, our registered nurse.
CoolSculpting was originally developed by Harvard scientists who noted that people sucking on popsicles regularly had reduced fat cells in their cheeks. And the CoolSculpting concept was born!
And Nadia has been to Harvard as part of her training and was also one of the first in Canada to attend the specially-created CoolSculpting University in California. This is what sets INLIV’s CoolSculpting apart from others. The treatment has become very popular, so some people are shopping around for the best price, but the pricing structure is dictated by the manufacturer, so the cost is fairly consistent, no matter where you go. However, at INLIV, guests can be assured of the utmost in safety and care by having a well-trained and experienced registered nurse delivering the treatment. She has a medical background in addition to the CoolSculpting training. so you can relax, knowing you’re in good hands with Nadia.
At INLIV, CoolSculpting treatments are conducted by a registered nurse, and all our medical aesthetic injectables are administered by specially-trained physicians, only.
