Though often associated with being overweight, a double chin can occur with any body type and may be caused by aging, genetics and weight gain.

What To Expect from a Chin Injection
The goal of a chin reduction injection is to help get rid of double chin. Side effects from double chin injections are temporary and usually resolve in as little as two weeks.
The most common side effects are swelling and bruising, which are often noticeable for the initial week before gradually resolving completely. Some patients experience itching and some discomfort that can take a month or two to disappear. Additionally, numbness, redness and areas of hardness in the treatment area may occur.

How to Reduce Double ChiN
To begin treatments for chin fat removal, book a consultation with one of INLIV’s specially-trained physicians. It’s important to determine if you are a candidate and to assess how many treatments will be needed to achieve your desired double chin loss. In most cases, two to four treatment sessions are required. Treatments are spaced six to eight weeks apart. This allows for swelling to reduce and for the physician to accurately assess the area before injecting again.
Once it has been determined you are a candidate for double chin injections, we recommend scheduling your appointment for a time when you will have a few days post-treatment for the swelling to reduce.
During your double chin treatment, a transparent grid is drawn on the area to map out the appropriate injection points. Each client is unique, and the treatment is customized for your specific needs.
Each session requires 20 – 50 chin injections, depending upon the size of the area to be treated and the amount of fullness.
When your series of sessions is complete, there should be no reason to treat the area further, as the fat cells have been destroyed. Maintaining a healthy weight is important; however, as weight gain may create fat in the area again.
This treatment is effective to help reduce double chin. To tighten loose skin, Thermage may be recommended following your double chin treatment.
