Why IPL Photorejuvenation
IPL laser therapy can reduce the signs of sun damage on the skin, including pigmentation, sunspots and broken capillaries. For many of us, that damage was sustained years ago before we understood and embraced the importance of protecting our skin with sunscreen. Or perhaps hormonal changes, pregnancy and other medical conditions have created hyper-pigmented areas on your skin.
Our experienced medical team uses Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) as an effective, non-invasive treatment to reduce or remove brown spots, broken blood vessels and other discoloration, revealing an improved and even skin tone. Book your complimentary IPL laser assessment at INLIV Calgary today.
What to Expect from IPL LaseR
Intense pulsed light therapy can take as little as 30 minutes, depending on the size of the treatment area and there is minimal discomfort. The best part is that results are often visible with just one treatment, although multiple treatments may be required to achieve full correction.
Following an IPL photofacial treatment, clients typically experience a sunburn-like sensation with some minor swelling that usually subsides within 24 to 48 hours.
Many blood vessels may disappear immediately, while some larger vessels and pigmentation spots will slowly clear over the next one to two weeks. Spots will darken following the treatment and the treated skin flakes off over several days, revealing the beautiful, fresh skin beneath.
For larger patches of hyperpigmentation or resistant sunspots, a combination of topical medications and chemical peels may be recommended in addition to IPL laser therapy.
Individual results may vary.
How it works
IPL laser is a fast, non-invasive, effective treatment that uses pulses of optimized light to deliver energy into the skin. This energy targets only the red and brown pigmented areas, leaving the surrounding skin cells unharmed. The treatment also stimulates collagen production deep within the dermis for enhanced skin texture.
