STRESS URINARY INCONTINENCE AND VAGINAL ATROPHY AND REJUVENATION

INCONTILASE FOR STRESS URINARY INCONTINENCE

Stress urinary incontinence may impact your life every day, when sneezing, coughing, running, exercising, climbing stairs, or just having a good laugh.

The most common causes of stress urinary incontinence are vaginal child birth, obesity and aging.

33% of women over the age of 40 have symptoms of urinary incontinence but many are reluctant to discuss it with their doctor, according the Canadian Urinary Bladder Survey. At INLIV, we want you to be comfortable discussing it with us, and we’re here to help provide a solution with IncontiLase™.

INTIMILASE FOR VAGINAL ATROPHY AND VAGINAL REJUVENATION

Laxity of the vaginal wall and vaginal atrophy often occurs as a result of menopause and natural aging, as vaginal tissue can become thinner and dry due to the decrease in estrogen.

Vaginal laxity may also be caused by natural childbirth, with the likelihood of occurrence increasing with the number of births.

This laxity may result in the loss of friction and sexual satisfaction for both the woman and her partner.

Our treatments for Stress Urinary Incontinence and Vaginal Tightening uses the Fotona Er:YAG laser to stimulate natural collagen production helping to shrink and tighten your vaginal tissue.

The stress incontinence laser treatments work best for those experiencing mild to moderate symptoms, with very good results for severe stress urinary incontinence as well.

BENEFITS

IncontiLase and IntimiLase are non-surgical, non-invasive treatments to help improve symptoms of stress urinary incontinence, vaginal atrophy, and vaginal prolapse.

  • Treatment is fast and is usually complete in 15 – 20 minutes, though your appointment will last approximately an hour to accommodate numbing and preparation.
  • IncontiLase and IntimiLase are non-ablative laser treatments
  • These laser treatments for stress incontinence and vaginal rejuvenation are incisionless. There is no cutting, bleeding, or sutures
  • No down time or post-care is needed
  • Return to your normal activities immediately following your treatment
  • Recovery is quick without the need for pain relievers or antibiotics

WHAT TO EXPECT

The laser utilizes photo thermal heating to stimulate the regrowth of collagen in the vaginal walls and the urethra. As a result, the vaginal walls and urethra will thicken and tighten, improving atrophy and preventing urine loss.

A special attachment similar to a speculum is inserted into the vagina, treating the entire vaginal region simultaneously with short laser pulses.

  • You may experience some minimal sensitivity after the procedure
  • It’s a normal reaction to have some transparent discharge for two – three days following treatment
  • Unlike surgical interventions for urinary incontinence, there is no downtime following your IncontiLase or IntimiLase laser treatment
  • Sexual intercourse is not recommended for one week following the procedure
  • Tampons should not be inserted for one week post-treatment
  • You may exercise following your treatment, however it is recommended to refrain from any heavy lifting for one week

Most clients will achieve optimum results from a series of two treatments spaced one month apart. In more severe cases, three treatments may be necessary.

  • 94% of women reported that stress urinary incontinence (SUI) improved significantly after 120 days and 68% were completely free of SUI.*
  • 95% of women indicated they experienced a more than moderate level of vaginal tightening.*

After the initial treatments of one month apart are complete, another treatment 12 – 18 months later may be recommended. Should your symptoms recur at a later time, additional treatments can be administered.

IS INCONTILASE OR INTIMILASE RIGHT FOR ME?

You will have a consultation prior to your treatment to discuss the treatment, your challenges, expectations, and any contraindications that this treatment may not be right for you.

Our Fotona laser treatment for stress urinary incontinence and vaginal rejuvenation should not be performed for those who are pregnant, those with menstrual bleeding or a bladder, urinary or vaginal yeast infection at the proposed time of treatment. This treatment is not recommended for anyone experiencing a sexually transmitted disease (STD).

You may still be a candidate for treatment if you have an IUD in place or have had a previous sling or mesh procedure.

It is recommended to wait six months following vaginal childbirth to undergo an IncontiLase of IntimiLase treatment.

If you are experiencing a severe prolapse, you may require additional treatments and you may not achieve the maximum result.
